We are one of the leading galleries in the US specializing in super high-resolution large format photos, some with resolutions over three gigapixels (3000 megapixels), over 100 times the resolution of a normal photo. We call them MEGAs and they are some of the most detailed photos ever captured. They can be printed at wall-filling sizes and remain tack sharp with incredible detail.
Our collection of MEGAs are some of the highest resolution, most detailed photos ever captured. They can be printed over 100 feet wide and are designed for use in commercial settings with large walls, from hotels to restaurants to offices to medical practices and everything in between.
We offer TruLife low-glare, abrasion-resistant acrylic as an optional upgrade. This is the most advanced acrylic available in the art world. It blocks up to 99% of UV rays and and is archival up to 120 years under standard indoor lighting conditions. It also virtually eliminates reflections, and has a shatter-resistant hard coat to protect against scratches. It has anti-static properties to repel dust, and it cleans like glass - no special acrylic cleaners are required.
We also go to the extreme step of using a rigid hardwood frame as the back frame on our acrylic facemounts, as these frames resist bending or bowing with changes in temperature and humidity. If we put this much care into the back of the photo that no one will ever see, you can rest assured we put even more love into the image itself.
Our photos are hand printed by a master printer with over 30 years of printing experience, on either our luminous paper for our acrylic facemounts, or a museum quality thick 310gsm paper for our traditional photographic prints. This gives them the look and feel of a traditional fiber based print, with creamy whites and deep, velvety blacks.
All of our framed prints are handcrafted, using premium hardwood frames. Our top-end framed acrylic facemounts come with Roma frames which are handfinished in Italy and are among the highest quality frames available in the world today.
Our acrylic facemounts are printed on a unique paper that contains Iridium particles. The Iridium is highly reflective and gives the facemounted images a 3D quality and exceptional luminosity - they almost appear backlit.
This is a special paper that is not commercially available. We believe it produces the highest quality photos available in the world today, with a broad gamut (color range), deep blacks, and a luminosity that has to be seen to be believed.
All of our commercial installations are white glove custom projects, managed by one of our art consultants from conception through installation.
We will custom print each piece to your specific size needs, and can crop images as needed to fit your exact space. As our MEGAs are very high resolution files, we have plenty of resolution to work with, and are able to crop them to fit your space while still maintaining incredible image quality (e.g. cropping an image from 100,000 pixels wide down to 50,000 pixels wide).
We can work with you to select the images, and can also select previously unreleased images from our archives if you have a special need. We don't just run a gallery, we're photographers, so we have immediate access to our archive of a million unreleased photos that we can draw from.
If you have your own content you'd like to feature, we can also work with your photographs and develop, print and install them for you. And, as photographers, we can also do a photo shoot for you if there is specific content that you'd like to create together.
We offer limited edition photos from artists and photographers including Antonio Guccione (Prada, Gucci, Vogue, Vanity Fair), Marc Urbano (Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Road & Track), SPOT (famed Black Flag / Minutemen / Descendents music producer and author of Sounds of Two Eyes Opening) and Matthew Welch (Kodak, author of Just Another Day), and many more photographers, painters and mixed media artists.
During the development and early construction phase of the Emory Proton Therapy Center, we were approached by the hospital's management and Stantec to work with them to develop a series of images for their new hospital in Atlanta. We worked closely with the architects, interior designer and hospital management to pull together a set of images that would be peaceful, soothing, and hopeful. We went through several rounds of candidate photos, and rendered them on the walls of the hospital, beginning during the early construction phase.
Hospitals have big walls, and fortunately, printing large photos was never a concern due to the extreme resolutions of our MEGA images. Once the final images were selected, we cropped each image to fit each space perfectly, and produced, crated, shipped, and installed the roughly 20 images.
"When we were in the early construction phase of building the Emory Proton Therapy Center with Stantec Architecture, we reached out to Pacific Coast Gallery. The Proton Center has numerous large walls in open common areas of the facility, and we knew their series of ultra high resolution MEGAs could be printed at the wall-filling sizes we needed – some as long as 20 feet wide. We paid great attention to the architecture and the interior design of the hospital, and we needed photos that would match our same extremely high quality standards, when printed very large.
Working with Matt and Monica and Pacific Coast Gallery was a pleasure from start to finish. First, Matt personally visited the construction site to get a feel for the space, and then we were presented with dozens of curated images to select from. He even sent a full sized test print of our 8x9 foot centerpiece image, just so we could see it in the space ahead of time to make sure we had just the right dimensions before printing the final image. Production, crating and shipping was seamless (and ahead of schedule). It was so great to have Monica on site in Atlanta to supervise the installation of all of the pieces. Our installers and I appreciated her expertise and attention to keeping every piece of art in perfect condition.
But beyond their high level of service and professionalism, what really matters is the finished result, and the installed photos are even more striking than we could have imagined. In fact, I was so blown away with the finished work that I even acquired a few of Matt's photos for my own home!"

"I have clients from Los Angeles to New York and Pacific Coast Gallery has a range of amazing, high quality images to suit my clients' wide range of tastes. I love everything from their cool 1970s beach photos to their super bright and sharp modern landscape photos to their FLOWs with a global (Peru, Morocco, China) flair. Their quality and attention to detail is beyond compare; my clients are always impressed by the sharpness of the prints and the high quality of the handcrafted framing."

"No one else could print a photo as big as I needed.
I have a huge wall, and I needed a huge image to fill it. So glad I found the MEGAs - my photo is a 3 by 9 foot triptych, and every inch of it is tack sharp.
People can't believe it when they see it - they get up close to inspect all of the barnacles on the pier. It is just insane."

"I dropped by Pacific Coast Gallery, a really special place, one day as I was passing by and was awe struck by the imagery of Daydream. The colors are so vibrant that when I first observed the artwork I assumed it was backlit. The color literally pops off the image. I went back multiple times to the Gallery and each visit I would end up standing in front of this piece to admire its color, shadows, light and forms. Ultimately I acquired Daydream for our home, and am still captivated by the brilliant color and artistic eye of the photographer."
