Loved by Yves Saint Laurent

"What's the difference between a fashion photo and a portrait? Nothing, as shown by the work of Antonio Guccione exhibited in Milan. Fashion photography is the photography of our time. Inside a dress you'll find a reflection of the culture of the era. It is necessary to understand this to understand the work of Antonio Guccione, loved by Yves Saint Laurent and made famous by unforgettable advertising for Prada, Gucci, and Versace."

"He has portrayed the stars of literature and music, entertainment and the catwalks, between fairytale sets and dreamlike suggestions. Dizzy Gillespie, Dustin Hoffman, Richard Gere, reports on Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, exhibitions in Paris, New York and Milan.

Italian with a cosmopolitan vocation, Antonio Guccione has always been involved in the world of fashion photography with esprit de finesse and a great love for cinema, which he frequented a lot."

"It started with a Graflex Crown 4x5, and ended up in museums. First the galleries, then the Venice Biennale. In between: magazines, covers, exhibitions…thousands of iconic printed images.

In New York he crossed the city, uptown and downtown, and photographed the most beautiful women in the world, artistically telling the story of an era. The goal was not only the perfection of shapes, lights and shadows, the raw material of every photograph, but the description of the female soul contained in each model, which he did sumptuously well."

World-Famous Artist, Interpreter of Trends

"Antonio Guccione, world-famous artist, interpreter of trends in customs and society, tells of his life in the house-studio, where every corner surprises for a detail or a work of his: "I'm choosing the photos to send to the Guggenheim in Bilbao. I have to select from 150,000 negatives."

Guccione has collaborated with the most prestigious magazines and immortalized countless celebrities: Cindy Crawford at 18, Iman at the time of the liaison with David Bowie, Rachel Hunter, Sarah Jessica Parker at the beginning of her career. The most generous? Dustin Hoffman.

He spent wonderful periods in Paris working for Harper's Bazaar and in the United States, where he had various exhibitions, including "Faces of New York": gigantic photos of stars, from Richard Gere to Anthony Quinn or Bob Colacello. At the opening 10,000 people attended."
